I've wanted to make video games since I can remember.
I have a specific memory of when I was quite young thinking about how much time it must have taken drawing all of the possible combinations of images on the screen. When I was in high school I made a simple "Zombie" game where an "H" got chased by a "Z" around a 16x8 (8x16?) screen. It turns out that "Zombie" would be the only game I would make for the next 3 years. Made it with TI-Basic, pygame, Love2d, and even a Small Basic port.
The problem was that I'd make a rough port of Zombies, have some small issue with the language (or more commonly my lack of a solid math background), and then move on to some other language or platform.
I've really found a comfortable place with Love2d. I'm learning to really enjoy Lua and all its quirks. I plan on this being the platform for the game in mind for the rest of this project.
There are gonna be some technical posts, some funny posts, and some times I'm just going to use this as my rubber duck. Hopefully at least one of those sounds like something you'd like to read.
Looking forward to where this goes and I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do.
